A 90 minutes class with live music performed by Allison LaRochelle focused on nurturing creativity and empowering the Goddess within to support Ode tot the Moon's mission to spread awareness against domestic violence.

Inspired by the cycle of the moon, we will reflect upon and purge ourselves of unnecessary holding. This inspiration acts as a catalyst for newness and ultimately helps us strengthen both body and soul. A class designed to help us to connect to our inner power and to allow our self to let go everything that no longer serve us and embrace our darkness and vulnerability.
A flowing sequence based on hip opener and heartopener.

An emotional journey inside our self to learn how to practice yoga to heal both body and soul.

ARTHLETIC TO BRING LOVE IN THE WORLD

A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH ARTHLETIC TO SAVE ANIMALs IN NEED.

We were watching a movie together. It was not too late but I was tired after a long day at work. He was purring in my arms as usual and I was, as usual, enjoying his grounding and fulfilling presence.

Then in an instant everything changed.

Life as I knew changed, he got up to go to the bathroom and he fell down the stairs. I heard him falling and I got out of bed just in time to find him at the bottom of my stairs dragging himself around with no control over his back legs anymore, sick, crying, desperately trying to get to the bathroom.

I thought he broke something, I took him and together with my partner we drove to the local Animal Hospital.

During the car ride to the veterinarian I was trying to comfort him, cuddling him gently, letting him know that everything was going to be ok, because I was there and I was going to save him. Just like he did so many times with me.

Everything was going to be ok.

Benito died that night. He had a blood clot and I had to put him to sleep. I was with him until the very end and he died in my arms, surrounded by all the love I could give him.

Benito was my cat. I got him when I moved to the USA 8 years ago and we were inseparable.

I believe we are all granted a soulmate in the course of our life.

Someone that teaches us how to be loved, to always be there for us, to heal our soul and day after day, remind us of how beautiful we are, how worthy we are, how wonderful life is when it is lived in the name of love.

And that is what Benito was for me.

 My peace. My love.

My point zero and when he left I felt lost.

I fought against it, scared and confused I did not know how to live my life without him.

I did not want to learn how but soon I understood that love never dies.

Right after Benito's death Arthletic created this pair of leggings.

A tribute to my boy, a tribute to our love.

They did not know me personally and never met Benito but they designed him wrapped in a blanket.

Benito died in my arms, wrapped in his favorite blanket.

When I gave him back to the doctor I asked to please keep him in his blanket. I really did not want him to be cold whereever he was going.

I was so worried about him being alone and scared and after that night I asked myself so many times if the doctor really kept him in his blanket, if he was ok, if he was cold.

The owner and designer of Arthletic did not know any of this and and when they showed me the leggings final design I broke into tears.

Benito was there, peaceful and happy staring at the Moon, wrapped in a blanket.

So I asked: "Why the blanket?"

She said: "I just knew he was supposed to be painted with his blanket."

Now I know, Benito found his way to tell me that I should stop worrying.

He has his blanket, he is ok.

He is thankful for it, he is not cold and he will never be.

He is looking over me and will always love me like I do.

Love never dies.

Athletic decided to give 100% of the profit of the sale of these pants to a local animal shelter in the hope to create a foster program to animals in need, helping find a forever home for the many cats and dogs in need in Serbia, the place were the company is from.

Ode to the Moon is proud to support them in this mission.

I own Benito my life, he is the reason I found the strength to leave my abusive relationship and take control over my life, he is the reason I choose to learn to love my self, he is the reason why i found the strength to start my battle against domestic violence.

Please join us, buy your pair of Benito leggings now.

With love and gratitude,

Eleonora Rachele Zampatti

FLY TO THE MOON AERIAL YOGA

Sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zone and push ourselves to the edge of an imaginary cliff, mentally and physically. In that uncomfortable space, surrounded by doubts, fear and uncertainty, we have to find courage to spread our wings and fly. Leap without our landing in sight and believe that it doesn’t matter how hard the landing may be, it is in falling that we will find the highest form of freedom and joy.

Ode to the Moon is officially a non profit foundation.

Today I am personally writing this letter,
not only to express my deepest gratitude for your support for Ode to the Moon, but to also inform you, that we officially became a non profit organization (501-c3).
Most of you know why I am so passionate about this topic. I personally experienced both the overbearing effect of domestic violence and the healing power of yoga, art and music. This project is my personal battle against the silence that surrounds this uncomfortable topic. It is my attempt to use art, body movements and music to heal the souls of those who are suffering.
Violence is never an answer. Love is. Ode to the Moon inspires people to practice compassion and love for others, as well as yourself. Do not fear your past. Instead, make it the core of your strength and live your life with an open heart, trusting in love.

With your faithful financial contributions over the years, you’ve demonstrated your deep commitment to our work of bringing awareness on the topic of domestic violence, helping the Ode to the Moon in its mission. Education, healing and advocacy are the key component needed to end domestic violence. Your support has repeatedly played a key role in making all of our events a success and helping us grow and expand. There is no way to fully express our gratitude for your loyalty.

We at Ode to the Moon are continually inspired by the dedication and generosity of people like yourself who answer the call to give again and again.

It is our hope to see all of you at our next event, one hour yoga class with live music performed by Allison LaRochelle.

Ode To The Moon Returns with a New Mission

On Saturday, May 21st, Ode to the Moon invited you to return with them on a new journey to aid the victims of domestic violence. With a strong motto: break the silence, together against domestic violence.

The one hour yoga program, accompanied by the live, soulful music of vocalist Allison LaRochelle, took place at 12:00 pm at Synergy Hot Yoga located at 623 River Rd. in Fair Haven, NJ and it was a great success, raising the founds needed to start the process to become a 501c3 organization.

Ode to the Moon began 2 years ago, starting very small. The goal was simple: to invoke discussion on the topic of domestic violence and raise money to benefit the efforts of 180 Turning Lives Around, a local organization that provides shelter and resources for the survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault. Eleonora Zampatti is the founder of Ode to the Moon, the instructor, and a survivor herself of domestic abuse. “It is through the movement of my body that I was able to accept my past, embrace my scars, and learn how to fall in love with myself,” and it is through movement she hopes to teach everyone the poetry they hold within themselves to accept who they are, no matter what scars they bear.

Eleonora knew she needed another element to make this class stand out from the rest, something that, when paired with movement, would allow them to truly understand her mission. Meeting Allison LaRochelle at her first class at Synergy Hot Yoga was fate. Before even hearing her sound, as soon as she found out Allison was a musician, she was on the job as the voice of Ode to the Moon, and has been ever since. Only a few months later, after an in depth discussion of Eleonora’s past, the song “Lay Your Hand on Me,” was created, giving Eleonora and Ode to the Moon an anthem. Ode to the Moon continued to grow and to travel around New Jersey.

Now, after a brief hiatus, Ode to the Moon is back and needs your help with a new goal. Starting May 21st at Synergy Hot Yoga, Ode to the Moon will be going to a different studio each month this summer, leading to a big final class of the season in October ( domestic violence awarness month) at the Detour Gallery in Red Bank, NJ with the yoga class, live music, an art exposition and auctions. All of the money they raise this summer with go toward making Ode to the Moon an independent project that would now provide free services to victims. They aim to make it on their own as an organization to bring hope to the survivors of domestic abuse.
